Trump 2.0: The First 100 Days—Then What? With Jeffrey Sachs

Professor Jeffrey D. Sachs is a prominent American economist renowned for his work in sustainable development, economic policy, and global health.

Born on November 5, 1954, in Detroit, Michigan, he earned his B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. in economics from Harvard University, where he later served as a professor for over two decades. Currently, he is a University Professor at Columbia University and directs the Center for Sustainable Development. Sachs has also held significant roles within the United Nations, advising on the Millennium Development Goals and Sustainable Development Goals.

He has twice been named among Time Magazine’s 100 most influential world leaders. He was called by the New York Times, probably the most important economist in the world, and by Time Magazine the world’s best-known economist.

Frederick University has decided to award an Honorary Doctorate to the distinguished Professor of Economics at Columbia University, Jeffrey D. Sachs. The conferral ceremony will take place on Friday, May 2, 2025, at 7:00 p.m., in Nicosia.
